Leslie Deep was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. At the young age of four, Leslie started drawing and taking piano lessons from his neighbor. Growing up, he expanded his talent to other arts such as comic book illustration and film. In Fall 2009, Leslie graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Culture Studies from the University of California, Riverside. During his college years, he started writing his own songs.

Leslie grew up with heavy influences from American pop culture- from the pop sounds of Britney Spears and N*sync to the dark rap sounds of Eminem. He has inherited a deep love of the macabre and theoretically speaking the mis-en-scene of life. (Some more influences include Alexander Mcqueen, Tim Burton, D-Squared, Dada art and Roman Polanski. ) All of these influences can be seen in Leslie’s music which can only be described as one word: POP. Leslie sees the future of his music as a juxtaposition of colorful and dark sounds, highly visual and honest lyrics, and an avant garde look and feel inspired by the different decades of art, superheroes, comic books, high fashion magazines, and American pop music culture. He states that his music is for people looking for an edgy new sound to go with their new stereotype breaking lifestyles.
